Should You Tip Carpet Cleaners?

“Should I tip the carpet cleaners?”Have you thought about this question? If the answer is yes then you are probably a very thoughtful person. Most people have some type of experience in a service industry. Carpet cleaning is a one of the service orientated industry with the longest hours. Unlike the restaurant industry they depend on tipping. Most servers will never tell you no tip, but they are still hoping for one.

It is not uncommon to earn tips cleaning carpet. I have earned $20 dollar tips countless of times. Sometimes people will hand over a tip and say something like, “Lunch is on me boys.” Tips are always appreciative.

Tipping is always a courteous gesture in any industry. However, at Sweettouch Carpet Cleaning we do not expect tips or ask for one. The reality is that most of all customers do not tip at all. So it is my opinion that most carpet cleaners do not expect a tip either. Tipping should come from generosity and not obligation from anyone. If you were happy with your complete carpet cleaning experience, then tipping seems like a normal step in the process. I don’t think the question should ever be,”should you tip a carpet cleaner?” Instead, the question should be, “do you want to tip the carpet cleaner?”Always remember that tipping is your decision. Sweettouch will never make you to feel obligated to tip our techs.

The next time you get your carpet cleaned. Call on Sweettouch Carpet Cleaning whether you plan on tipping or not.
